What is the Occult?

Eye of Consciousness

The Hidden Path They Warned You Never to Walk

For far too long, the world has bowed before a lie—a carefully crafted illusion whispered from pulpits and etched in orthodoxy: that all spiritual systems outside the Abrahamic fold—Christianity, Judaism, and Islam—are “the occult,” and that the occult is inherently evil. This slander was not born of truth, but of cultural supremacy and theological ignorance.

Unfortunately, those unfamiliar with history do not realize that the Abrahamic religions were plays of power, built upon earlier religious mythos. These older mythologies—rich in cosmology and Natural Law—were later dismissed and defamed with labels like pagans, heathens, and heretics in order to exalt the god of the Abrahamic tradition above all others. This tactic did not erase truth; it buried it—rebranding ancient wisdom as spiritual treason. In Jesus Potter Harry Christ, Derek Murphy exposes how this transformation was orchestrated not by divine revelation, but by political design. He writes:

“[Emperor Constantine] tailored Christianity to the pre‑existing pagan customs. By 380 CE, Christianity was made the official religion and by 435 pagan temples were destroyed.”

What began as a syncretic strategy to unify the Roman Empire under one imperial faith soon became a campaign of religious domination. Pagan rituals were absorbed, rebranded, and then outlawed—their original contexts erased to elevate the new orthodoxy. As Rev. Mark Townsend reflects in Jesus Through Pagan Eyes:

“Until now, I had figured out the enormous 'borrowing' that the Abrahamic religions had done from their earth‑based Pagan roots. Never‑mind demonizing those …”

Tom Harpur, in The Pagan Christ, drives the point home:

“Virtually all words and actions attributed to Jesus in the gospels ‘originated thousands of years before.’”

The only merit to this confusion lies in perception: lesser-known traditions were simply hidden or discredited—not evil, but unfamiliar. And unfamiliarity, in the hands of the fearful or the manipulative, becomes an instrument of suppression.

“Occult (Latin occultus): that which is hidden, concealed, secret.”

Not malevolent. Not diabolical. Just… unseen.

The occult is not Satanism. It is not inherently evil, nor is it devoted to darkness. But—like any powerful system of knowledge—it can be misused. It can be distorted by the ego, manipulated in service of dominance, control, and deception. In this sense, yes—the occult can be weaponized for the benefit of Satanism or destructive intentions. But this is a corruption of its essence, not its definition.

The real occult is hidden knowledge—knowledge obscured because it is liberating. As Elbert Benjamine (C.C. Zain) writes in Laws of Occultism:

“Occultism is not a religion; it is a system for discovering universal laws—cosmic principles that operate behind the veil of appearances.” And among the most powerful of these laws? Natural Law—the unseen moral code embedded in the very architecture of existence. A law not invented by man, but revealed by the cosmos itself.  Henry Drummond confirms this in Natural Law in the Spiritual World:

“The laws of the natural and the spiritual are not separate; the spiritual world is not a world of caprice, but one that obeys laws as rigid as the physical.”

This knowledge, if made common, would dismantle empires built on fear and dependency. So instead, it was occulted—veiled in parables, buried beneath theology, misrepresented as wicked. Even scripture dares to whisper the truth:

“My people perish for lack of knowledge.” — Hosea 4:6

Yes, knowledge. Not belief. Not obedience. Not blind faith. Knowledge—that which liberates. Mainstream religion—through fear, nescience, or deliberate design—has cloaked the occult in grotesque imagery: demons, rituals, mysticism turned macabre. But this, too, is sorcery—a spell of confusion meant to steer you away from the very light that could free you.

So ask yourself:

Who gains when knowledge is hidden?
Who profits when truth is feared?
Who fears you discovering that the chains were never locked at all?

🜄 The occult is not evil. It is revelation. It is Natural Law. And once you lift the veil, you will never go back to sleep.
